The life of SATYBALDY NARYMBETOV, the master of domestic cinema was cut short
Just a few months ago, we congratulated Saken-aga on his 75th birthday. On that day, many kind words were said, merits were recalled, wishes sounded. But today it is difficult to find words and there is no way to change or return something …
Once Umit Tazhken, a member of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan, said: “Looking back at the path traveled, Satybaldy can tell himself with satisfaction that he honestly served art, that he was always honest with himself and in his works, films he described and showed only that that I checked with my heart. ” Our life is a difficult thing, but the life of a real artist is doubly difficult – after all, on his shoulders the burden of a special responsibility to readers, viewers, to his people. The creator of “Hamlet from Suzak”, “Biography of a Young Accordionist”, “Prayer of Leila”, “Mustafa Shokai”, “Amanat” are no exception, probably that is why he was looking, hesitated, even wanted to leave the cinema and thought in his hearts: ” Why did I choose this profession? I would lie on the couch or sit in an armchair and tap slowly on the keyboard of a typewriter or laptop. But I immediately remember a scene from the film “Don’t Cry!”, Where the hero leaves a tavern called “He Came Himself.” Nobody called me, I came myself. ” And then sons came to the profession. Life turned out to be not only difficult, but also amazing – the magic power of art created a whole film dynasty – the elder Askar-Mukhit chose the path of a director for himself, and Iskander became one of the best cameramen in the country. Today grandchildren are already growing up and who knows which path they will choose. Remember the past for the sake of the future – these simple and wise words of S. Narymbetov are especially important to all of us today.
The staff of the State Center for Support of National Cinema expresses sincere and deep condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and students of Satybalda Zhalelovich. We especially appreciate that Saken-aga took an active part in the activities of the Cinema Center, for his words of support and attention to our work. We’ve all lost a great artist, friend and mentor.
