STRENGTHENING THE PEDAGOGICAL CAPACITY DISCUSSED AT THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan with representatives of the Finnish University Hame University of Applied Sciences on the implementation of measures to strengthen pedagogical potential. The event was held within the framework of the project “Modernization of secondary education”.
The meeting was attended by Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kuanysh Yergaliyev, acting Chairman of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education Banu Narbekova, Finnish Ambassador to Kazakhstan S. Myakeläinen-Bukhanist, World Bank Project Manager “Modernization of Secondary Education” A. Vauda, representatives of the Finnish University and Nazarbayev University.
The parties discussed the issues of improving the education system for future teachers to train highly qualified teaching staff and improve their readiness to teach.
The Finnish side presented the results of the event, according to which the developers of 17 regional universities implementing pedagogical programs were trained to develop educational programs according to a new model of teacher education. Accordingly, 30 pedagogical educational programs were developed, which will later be included in the Register of educational programs of higher and postgraduate education.
Following the meeting, the Ministry expressed its readiness to scale the results of this event among all universities with a pedagogical direction, which in turn will affect the quality training of future teachers.
