More than 242 thousand Kazakhstanis became ESP payers from the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of the year 242.1 thousand. Kazakhstanis made 762.2 thousand payment of a single co-payment (hereinafter – SCP) for a total amount of     1 billion 635 million tenge. More than three payments (331.2 thousand) come to the capital, the city of republican and regional significance. In these cities there were more than half of the total payment – 980 million tenge. Thus, the share of residents of other settlements is 431 thousand payments in the amount of 655 million tenge.

It should be noted that as a result of the previous year, the number of SCP payers were almost 3.6 million, and the number of payments – more than 4.8 million. At the same time, the capital, the cities of the republican and regional significance received 2.1 million payments, while the residents of other settlements made 2.7 million payments.

Recall that entered into force on January 1, 2019, the SCP called to simplify the registration process in the tax authorities of informally engaged Kazakhstanis. The use of its citizens by the corresponding category provides them with the following opportunities:

– to participate in the system of compulsory social medical insurance and to have access to medical services with the right to choose a medical institution;

– to participate in the accumulative pension system and to receive the basic pension payment depending on the length of participation in the system.

In addition to the replenishment of their pension savings in the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund, for SCP payers there will be an opportunity to receive a basic pension in an increased amount in connection with the fixed employment; – to receive social payments in the event of loss of employment, loss of employment, loss of breadwinner, pregnancy and childbirth and childcare.

In addition, the official registration of activity allows informally employed citizens not only to be socially protected, but also expands their right to access state activities. Thus, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducts the following work for unemployed and informally employed citizens: – labor creation of newly created workplaces in the areas of employment centers within the framework of the Roadmap employment in 2020-2021; – within the framework of the State Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship for 2017-2021, “Labor” unemployed and informally engaged in entrepreneurship through the issuance of preferential microcredits. This measure can also facilitate the transition of SCP payers to the category of individual entrepreneurs.
