Cinema projects of the State Center for National Cinema Support.
The Almaty Film Days business platform has completed its work in Almaty. The event was held from 25-th to 27-th of September as part of the City Day. The partners of the city administration were the Cinema Center, the Kazakhfilm film studio, the Ticketon company, the IVI online cinema, and the Almaty Film Festival team.
A number of round tables were held online on the most important issues of filmmaking during the quarantine period.
The “Cinema and Quarantine: How to Shoot in a New Reality” round tables on the topic were devoted to how the film industry works remotely. At the “Piracy kills creativity” round table speakers discussed how to fight Internet piracy.
At the “Kazakhstani content on streaming platforms: opportunities and prospects” round table they talked about how quarantine is changing the entire system of film consumption.
The recordings of the round tables were posted on the Cinema Center’s YouTube channel – @Kazakh cinema.
As part of the Almaty Film Days, film screenings were also held at the Tiketon auto cinema. Almaty residents saw the “Tomiris” and the film “Kyz-Zhibek” historical dramas, loved by many generations of viewers, which celebrates its 50-th anniversary this year.
