BILATERAL NEGOTIATIONS WERE HELD WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION OF THE PRC
Vice-Minister K. E. Akatov, at the head of the delegation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the International Educational Forum “EXPO China-Eurasia 2023”.
“EXPO China-Eurasia 2023” is organized by the People’s Government of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, as well as to implement the consensus and cooperation initiatives reached at the Central Asia-China Summit “, held in Xi’an in May 2023.
In his speech, the vice minister outlined important areas of cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education and science: the implementation of joint educational programs and scientific research, expanding the possibility of exchange between students, faculty and scientists, opening a branch of Xi’an Northwestern Polytechnic University on based at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the planned opening of the “Lu Ban Workshop” with the support of the Tianjin Professional Institute at the East Kazakhstan Technical University named after
D. Serikbaeva, cooperation with Huawei and other important areas.
As part of the forum, the delegation visited an exhibition of scientific and technological achievements of Xinjiang universities, and bilateral negotiations were also held with the Deputy Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China Sun Yao, with the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region and the Secretary of the Working Committee for Education of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region Zhang Chunlin.
