At the solemn event in honor of the 105th anniversary of the birth of Shaken Aimanov, a classic of Kazakh cinema, a talented nugget, People’s Artist of the USSR, film director, theater and film actor , flowers were laid at his monument. The monument gathered the management and team of the Kazakhfilm studio, as well as representatives of the creative intelligentsia – Satybaldy Narymbetov, Damir Manabaev, Rustem Abdrashov, Erbolat Toguzakov and others.

– The creative way of Shaken Aimanov is a classic example of the formation of the master, whose art, stepping over the time frame, remains for centuries. His films are rightfully included in the Golden Fund of the national cinema, and his roles in the cinema are exemplified in acting. Sh. Aimanov made a lot of efforts for the development of Kazakh cinema. He built a separate building for the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan. After that, Shaken Kenzhetayevich was seeking the construction of the national film studio “Kazakhfilm”, said the famous film director Satybaldy Narymbetov.

It should be noted that today, February 15, at 21:20 on the TV channel “El Arna” will be shown the documentary film “Shaken Aymanov: Man and Legend”, dedicated to the life and work of the hero of the day. The film was shot at the Kazakhfilm studio to the 100th anniversary of Shaken Aimanov by famous director Bolat Nusimbekov. Also, on February 16 at 7:25 pm, the talk show “Open Show” devoted to the art film “The Land of Fathers” (1966) will be shown on the TV channel “El Arna”.

Shaken Kenzhetayevich Aimanov was born on February 15, 1914 in the Bayan-Aul district of the Pavlodar region.

Most of the creative life of Shaken Aimanov is associated with the theater. From 1933 he worked at the Kazakh Drama Theater. M. Auezov, where he played over one hundred roles, including Petruccio (“The Taming of the Shrew”), Khlestakov (“The Inspector”), Kodar (“Tots of Korpsh – Bayan Sulu”) and others.

In 1940, M. Levin, the director of Lenfilm, , invites Aimanov to play the role of Sarsen in the film Rayhan. It was the first film on the Kazakh theme, set on the script written by Mukhtar Auezov. Then Aimanov played the role of a front-line soldier in the film “White Rose” (TsOKS, 1942), the role of a student of Abai Sharip in the film “Songs of Abay” (1946), the role of Dosanov in the film “The Golden Horn” (1948).

In 1953, the film “Jambul” was released on screens, where a 38-year-old actor had a chance to play and a youth who had just entered into life and a giant of Kazakh folk poetry, almost a hundred-year-old Jambul. This first major role in cinema brought the actor not only widespread fame, became the benchmark of the “national character”, but also allowed him to become more familiar with the features of film production, more fully appreciate the possibilities of the cinema screen and predetermine his further creative destiny.

Aimanov’s creative growth in cinema impressed with swiftness, his bright acting and directing work quickly received national recognition. In 1954, his first directorial experience – the film “Poem of Love” – ​​was released. For a decade and a half of work in the cinema, he made more than ten feature films, which rightfully entered the Golden Fund of national cinematography. From 1953 until the untimely death in 1970, Shaken Aimanov was the permanent artistic director of the national film studio, constantly working as a screenwriter, actor and director, headed the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan created by him.

In 1984, the name of Shaken Aimanov was assigned to the film studio “Kazakhfilm”.
