In Washington, celebrated the Day of the First President
December 1, 2016 the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Washington opened the door for American friends who came together to celebrate the national holiday – the Day of the First President of Kazakhstan. On this day, the Embassy building, known in Washington as “Sherman House” visited the representatives of the US political and business circles, Kazakh Diaspora, media, and culture and art.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan in the USA Kairat Umarov thanked the participants for their congratulations on the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 25th anniversary of Independence. He noted the key role of President Nursultan Nazarbayev in the formation and prosperity of independent Kazakhstan. It is symbolic that on the eve of a telephone conversation between Nazarbayev and US President-elected Donald Trump, in the course of which the latter congratulated the Head of Kazakhstan on the 25th anniversary of Independence.
Celebrations in honor of the Day of the First President of Kazakhstan graced concert Julia Gorenman – virtuoso pianist, a graduate of the famous music school named after Kuliash Baiseitova in Almaty, who is currently a professor at the prestigious American University in Washington, DC. A talented musician Yu.Gorenman is the owner of numerous international prizes and awards. She toured a lot in Europe, Russia, Middle East, Canada and the United States of America and all her performances certainly passed with full audiance.
In honor of the feast Yu Gorenman demonstated her skills to the guests of the Embassy and presented music CDs with recordings of her performances. She shared fond memories that bind her with Kazakhstan, and expressed a wish to give recitals and master classes in Astana and Almaty.
Kazakhstan First President’s Day once again became an unforgettable evening for the friends of our country.
