OSCE has congratulated Kazakhstan on election as the member of the UN Security Council
On July 7, 2016 during a meeting of the Permanent Council of OSCE with the Permanent representative of RK of the international organizations in Vienna, the ambassador Kayrat Sarybay have made the statement for election of the Republic of Kazakhstan in structure of non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2017-2018.
K. Sarybay has expressed gratitude to OSCE member countries for support of Kazakhstan in a voting process in New York on June 28, 2016. It has been noted that it is a success of not only our country, but also of all subregion Central Asia which has been never represented in the supreme body of the UN responsible for safety world .
The Kazakhstan diplomat has told about priorities of activities of our country in the UNSCs sounded by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in the special statement. He has noted that much attention will be paid to the Kazakhstan initiatives aimed at creation of the world, free from the nuclear weapon and a virus of wars and the conflicts. Kazakhstan will also advance the anti-terrorist initiatives pushed by the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev at the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. Besides, it will be stimulated the solution of questions of water, energy and food security.
