USA supports reforms of President K. Tokayev
NUR-SULTAN, April 22, 2021 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
The interlocutors discussed issues of the international agenda and bilateral relations, in particular, the prospects for deepening the expanded strategic partnership.
M. Tleuberdi informed about the reforms carried out by President K. Tokayev aimed at further democratization of the socio-political system of Kazakhstan. From his part, the US Secretary of State said: “The US firmly supports the Political Reform Plan of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.”
They also considered the schedules and preparation of events dedicated to the 30-th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the United States, as well as the upcoming online meeting of the C5 + 1 dialogue platform.
