The artist-stylist Mr. Lamin M. was born in Cameroon in the family of a fabrics dealer. Since youth he was interested in work of the master cutter. Since then the ideas of style, beauty and harmony in clothes never have left him.
For many years Lamin M. lives and works in Saint-Denis. It is the city – the planet in which people from all corners of the world live. It is the world where solidarity, respect and mutual understanding govern .
In Saint-Denis cathedral where kings of France buried, the fashion designer realized the original project under the name “Big Royal Dresses” which connects the past and the present. The royal dresses created by Lamin M. are big in literal sense – their height are more than two meters. They remind majestic statues columns which in the past met pilgrims at the entrance to the cathedral. The artist has addressed to a female subject, binding various historical dynasties of France and culture of the world where everyone can think up or “weave” his own history.
