The relaxation of restrictive measures led to an increase in the incidence of CVI in the Republic of Kazakhstan – E. Kiyasov
Today, at a briefing at the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Health – Yerlan Kiyasov, the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Kazakhstan spoke about the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country.
As of March 17, 226 767 patients with a positive result of COVID-19 and 49 896 cases with CVI were registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan. 208 074 patients with CVI + and 45 428 patients with CVI- recovered. In February, compared with January, there was a decrease in the incidence of 30%. At the same time, over 1000 cases have been detected during the last 5 days a day.
“Over the past week, compared with the previous week, there has been an increase in the incidence of 12% (from 5323 to 5799 cases). The Republic of Kazakhstan has been moved from a low-risk or green zone to moderate risk or yellow zone, ”Kiyasov said.
According to the epidemiological assessment, today there are 3 regions in the high-risk zone or in the red zone: the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, and West Kazakhstan oblast. In the zone of moderate risk or yellow zone Almaty region. Also in the yellow zone are the Karaganda, Atyrau, Akmola regions. The rest of the regions are in the green zone.
“The general relaxation of restrictive measures led to an increase in the incidence, the largest number of cases occur in the cities of Almaty and Nur-Sultan, where restrictive measures have been introduced in the high-risk zone due to the epidemiological situation,” the Vice-Minister said.
On the state border, flights have been resumed with 14 countries, the number of flights has been increased to 95 flights per week, the largest number of arriving passengers falls on the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty. At the same time, there is still a risk of importation of coronavirus infection from abroad. So, since October 6, 2020, more than 322,600 passengers have arrived on international flights, of which 44,805 or 14% have been tested, 239 people have been identified with a positive result.
More than 835 thousand people crossed the road checkpoints of the Republic of Kazakhstan, of which 20% (161 313) were tested, 809 people had a positive result.
E. Kiyasov said that taking into account the gradual launch of offline training, the Ministry of Health conducts daily monitoring of the incidence of schoolchildren.
“Unfortunately, the registration of cases of coronavirus infection among students continues, in total, at the beginning of the school year, more than 10,400 students fell ill, of which 3,324 are children studying offline. Currently, quarantine measures are applied in a differentiated manner, taking into account the morbidity in the regions and in a single school. At the same time, the total number of cases in the Republic of Kazakhstan does not exceed 0.2% of students ”, – informed the Chief State Sanitary Doctor.
In the regions located in the yellow and green zones, the maximum relaxation of the quarantine regime has been adopted. Meanwhile, the monitoring groups continue to identify violations of restrictive measures. Thus, in February compared to January, the number of raids increased by 1.3 times (from 15,450 to 19923 raids), while the proportion of violations of restrictive measures revealed was 3.6%. As before, illegal activities of objects associated with a large number of visitors (nightclubs, restaurants, and computer rooms) are recorded. For violations of the requirements of sanitary-anti-epidemic, sanitary-preventive measures, and restrictive measures in February 2021, there is an increase in the number of administrative cases of individuals by 1.7 times (from 726 to 1282 people).
The vice-minister recalled that vaccination against coronavirus infection continues in the republic. To date, 83,839 people have been vaccinated with the first component. Since February 22, vaccination with the second component has begun, 19 312 people have been vaccinated, no adverse manifestations have been registered. Vaccinations are carried out in all regions, 628 vaccination stations have been deployed, 451 of them are currently in operation, all are provided with the necessary equipment to ensure the cold chain. By the end of March, 150,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine are expected to be delivered, which will be distributed across the regions by April 1 of this year.
In conclusion, E. Kiyasov congratulated Kazakhstanis on the upcoming Nauryz holiday and reminded them of the need to comply with measures for the prevention of coronavirus infection, social distance, and a mask regime. The vice-minister drew attention to the fact that the population, business representatives must treat the situation with the utmost responsibility, do everything so as not to get infected and not to infect others. To do this, everyone needs to follow the prescribed quarantine measures and simple preventive measures.
