The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan visited the Astana International Financial Center

During the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ilham Aliyev visited the Astana International Financial Center.
The heads of state toured the office of the AIFC International Court. Registrar and Chief of Staff of the AIFC Court Christopher Campbell-Holt spoke about the functioning of the first judicial system in Central Asia based on the norms and principles of English law. According to him, the International Court of Justice, which considers civil and commercial disputes, works according to the best international standards.
Then, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the activities of the AIFC Financial Services Regulation Committee and the Business Development Group. Representatives of the AIFC Tech Hub told them about the development of venture financing and technological innovations. In addition, the leaders of the two countries were presented with the work of the Expat Center “Support for the activities of AIFC participants on the principle of “one stop shop”. The Governor of the Astana AIFC, Renat Bekturov, informed the heads of state about the current activities of the Center.
In conclusion, the President of Azerbaijan left an entry in the Book of Honored Guests of the Astana International Financial Center.
