THE POCKET SYMPHONY.KZ WITH UPDATED COMPOSITION
A concert of ancient baroque music will be held in Almaty on October 13, performed by the famous ensemble The POCKET SYMPHONY.kz with a renewed lineup. For the first time, classical connoisseurs will have the opportunity to hear concerts of the Baroque era in the authentic sound of unique instruments – baroque guitar, viola da gamba, lute.
BAROQUE can be different: solemnly pompous, uncontrollably festive, mournful or bizarrely mysterious, but the main thing in Baroque is always absolute beauty and extreme drive that pulls us out of everyday life and routine.
On October 13 at 19:00 at the Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl, together with the musicians of the famous ensemble The POCKET SYMPHONY.kz, you will immerse yourself in the wonderful world of ancient baroque music.
The artistic director of the ensemble is Nazar Kozhukhar (baroque violin, viola, viola da gamba) and the updated composition of the ensemble, which includes well-known musicians for the Kazakh public – Dina Kurmanalinova (violin), Erkebulan Saparbaev (violin), Erzhan Kushanov (flute) and Vadim Weinstein (viola Yes gamba, lute) will perform works by Albinoni, Vivaldi, Telemann, as well as works by Bieber, Fischer, Legrenzi that are practically unheard of in Kazakhstan.
“I have great hopes for our soloists. We already interacted when I made a program with the Camerata Kazakhstan orchestra, then the musicians impressed with their professionalism, serious European production, discipline, beauty and elegance of sound. In addition, in our ensemble there are musicians who will for the first time touch on the music of the 17th-18th centuries in a form as close as possible to how we imagine it sounded three hundred to four hundred years ago,” shared Nazar Kozhukhar.
The ensemble The POCKET SYMPHONY.kz is actively starting its concert season. As Aykumis Baiterekova, the group’s producer, notes: the musicians, along with concert activities, also plan to engage in educational activities.
