The operation of two river passenger ships has been suspended
“The Transport Control Inspectorate of the capital has suspended the operation of two vessels carrying out passenger and tourist traffic, plying along the Esil River within the city of Nur-Sultan – Astana 0731 RS with a capacity of 45 passengers and Esil 0762 with a capacity of 70 passengers”,- the press service of MIID of RK reports.
Based on the results of the control examination, carried out on July 3 of this year, gross violations of the rules for the operation of ships were revealed. During the inspection of passenger ships, the main ship documents were missing: on the attestation of the officers of the ships and the sanitary and epidemiological conclusion on the readiness of the ship for the carriage of people.
Certification of officers of ships is a procedure that confirms the level of knowledge required to navigate a ship, ensure the safety of passengers, maintain a ship in good technical condition and protect the environment.
Until the identified violations are eliminated, the operation of these river vessels is prohibited.
5 officials of GKKP PH “ZHASNUR” and LLP “Shipping company“ Esil-Astana ”, which own the ships, were brought to administrative responsibility and, according to the law, were fined 5 MCI for repeated violations of the established rules for the operation of passenger river vessels.
In the last navigation, inspectors prohibited the operation of 11 river vessels (including Astana 0731 RS and Esil 0762) for the presence of fuel leaks from the engine room, improper keeping of ship documents, the absence of some of them, as well as the failure to provide an all-round view of the steering position.
