The head of state received the Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliev

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the main issues of development of the energy industry and the indicators of the country’s fuel and energy complex for 10 months of 2023, as well as the implementation of large oil and gas and energy projects.
During the meeting, Almasadam Satkaliev said that during the specified period, oil production in Kazakhstan amounted to 74.8 million tons, production of petroleum products – 11.2 million tons, gas production – 48.7 billion cubic meters, electricity production – 93.5 billion kWh, uranium production – 15.35 thousand tons.
The President was informed about the measures being taken to develop the national electrical grid and the new mechanism for selling electricity, introduced in June 2023.
The head of state was also provided with information about the introduced additional control over the winter heating season. In particular, according to the minister, 5.5 million tons of coal and 100 thousand tons of fuel oil have been prepared to supply energy facilities.
In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the department’s plans for further gasification of the country.
Following the meeting, the President instructed to keep under special control the issues of the heating season and the implementation of projects to modernize the energy infrastructure, as well as take measures to ensure uninterrupted supplies of fuels and liquefied petroleum gas to the domestic market.
