During the meeting, the President was informed about the activities of the fund and its tasks for the coming years, to be implemented during the chairmanship of Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the need to further strengthen interaction between the founding states of IFAS, including on the creation of a regional cooperation mechanism for the effective use of water and energy resources in Central Asia, the introduction of a unified automated system for accounting, monitoring, management, and distribution of water resources in the Aral Sea basin .
