The head of state received British Minister of State Nusrat Ghani

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, welcoming the UK Minister of State for Business and Trade Nusrat Ghani, emphasized that the UK is one of the main trading partners and the seventh largest investor in the economy of Kazakhstan.
Today, more than 550 British enterprises are represented in Kazakhstan, including such leading companies as Shell and Ernst & Young.
As the Head of State noted, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Great Britain increased last year by 60 percent, amounting to $1.8 billion.
– We are interested in expanding our trade and investment ties with London. I am pleased to note that the British side is also interested in developing comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan,” the President said.
In turn, Nusrat Ghani expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan for the warm welcome and noted that the British side attaches special importance to the development of bilateral cooperation.
