Today, following the results of negotiations with the People’s Republic of China, the first batch of CoronaVac vaccine arrived in Almaty by a special plane.

The drug is manufactured by the Sinovac Biotech Ltd Chinese biopharmaceutical company.  The first batch of the Chinese vaccine “CoronaVac” consists of 500 thousand doses. The implementation of the agreement on the supply of the CoronaVac vaccine from the PRC is seen as an example of the successful continuation of the initiated constructive cooperation with Chinese partners in jointly confronting the COVID-19 pandemic.

As noted in the Ministry of Health, the received batch of vaccine, along with the existing vaccines of Kazakhstan and Russian production, will be available at all vaccination points in the country.
