President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev receives congratulatory telegrams from the heads of foreign states and heads of international organizations on the occasion of the Nauryz holiday.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted in his congratulations that the harbinger of spring, Nauryz, is a holiday of common traditions and abundance, celebrated in a vast area from Central Asia to the Balkans.

“Nauryz holiday, celebrated annually in all corners of the world in order to preserve this common tradition and pass it on to future generations, serves as a vivid symbol of our friendship and brotherhood,” the Turkish President said in a telegram.

Good wishes on behalf of the fraternal Tatar people were sent by Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

“Let the powerful spirit of rebirth inherent in this ancient and always young holiday bring with it a lot of creative energy and open new opportunities for development to our peoples, as well as broad prospects for mutual cooperation,” the congratulatory message says.

In his letter, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming noted that the desire for peace, harmony with nature and mutual understanding between people, characteristic of the Nauryz holiday, serve as common values for all mankind.

– Nauryz plays an important role in preserving cultural diversity and strengthening relations of good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between the peoples and countries of the SCO. It is gratifying to note that with the active participation of the SCO member states, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the International Day of Nauryz, which indicates the recognition of the significance of this holiday at the global level,” Zhang Ming wrote.

The head of state was also congratulated by Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office.
