June 22, 2018 will be presented to the performance “Endless April”
on the stage of the Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater named after K. Kuanyshbaev
Moscow Provincial Theater (Russia)
within the framework of the II World Theater Festival “Astana”
June 22, 2018 at the Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater named after K. Kuanyshbaev will be presented the play “Endless April” of the Moscow Provincial Theater (Russia). The Moscow Provincial Theater is a wonderful ensemble of actors, with actors of high professionalism and skill. The artistic director of the theater is People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Bezrukov. Within the framework of the II World Theater Festival “Astana”, which is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the capital, the theater team from Russia will show a play about the memory of the past, without which the present loses its meaning. “Endless April” is the view of the younger generation on the history of the country.
In the play directed by A. Gorushkina, the main hero of history Veniamin Alexandrovich contemplates the entire twentieth century. He does not participate in history, but is an integral part of it. With his eyes, we are looking at a rigid world. The main character remembers his childhood during the Civil War, his youth – during the Leningrad blockade, maturity – in the times of Khrushchev’s thaw, and old age – in the “deaf” 80’s. He remembers the first love, loss, hope and disappointment. All these age periods, the actor plays without any makeup, changing only the voice, plastic – and, of course, the inner worldview. The roles are played by A. Ilyin, I. Bezrukov, E. Kirkova, E. Doronin, M. Dudkevich, I. Tokmakova and others.
Professional theater experts and critics will attend the performance: Asanali Ashimov (Kazakhstan), Jonas Vaitkus (Lithuania), David Asatiani (France), Beatrice Picon-Wallen (France), David Papava (Great Britain).
