The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Shapkenov congratulated Kazakhstanis on the Fatherland Defendere Day and the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, wished compatriots a peaceful sky above their heads, health, prosperity and happiness. “It is no coincidence that we celebrate the Fatherland Defendere Day in Kazakhstan on the eve of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.
We express our respect and gratitude both to those who defended our Motherland before, and to those who are now serving, or who will be in the future. In our homeland, at all times, there were enough worthy people who guarded the borders and were famous for their exploits, honor and dedication. Therefore, I sincerely wish each of you to look into the future with pride, to be ready for bold decisions and actions, to remain with your head held high in any life situation, to love and protect your loved ones. In this significant year for independent Kazakhstan, I would like to congratulate our veterans of the Great Patriotic War. I wish you good health, prosperity and happiness! Thanks to you, that we live in peace and prosperity for many years and that we can set ourselves lofty goals and solve global problems. Your heroism and dedication, shown in difficult years, resonate in the hearts of all Kazakhstanis. Since school years, we are proud to read and hear about those who, with their merits at the front and in the rear, have given peace and confidence in the present day. For military merits, hundreds of thousands of Kazakhstanis were awarded medals and orders, about 500 people became Heroes of the Soviet Union. Four Kazakhstanis became Heroes twice, 110 Kazakhstanis were awarded the Orders of Glory of three degrees. Over 1.2 million Kazakhstanis during the war years rose to fight the invaders, not sparing themselves. And many of them remained on the battlefields. I ask all compatriots to continue to remember the heroes of our country, the heroes of the past! ” – said Serik Shapkenov in his address .
