“School of Medical Journalism” for media representatives

By the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Social Health Insurance Fund, a unique project “School of Medical Journalism” (hereinafter SMJ) is being implemented for representatives of the media.

A series of webinars and a course of lectures are planned at SMJ, where everyone will be introduced to the social health insurance system, discussions on the most pressing topics of health care – the provision of medical assistance to the population, including all types of consultative and diagnostic services, hospitalization and drug provision, medical examinations and vaccinations, medical care for children, reproductive health, high-tech medical services, rehabilitation, dentistry and many other interesting areas that require objective and high-quality media coverage. SMJ experts are ready to transfer their knowledge and share the latest and most interesting information during lectures.

In addition, students will be able to learn how to present medical information in an interesting way, work with statistical data, study terminology, and understand the details of a medical case.

The speakers of the SMZ school will be leading specialists of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Medical Insurance Fund, the National Center for Expertise of Medicines (NCELS), the National Center for Public Health (NCPH), Scientific Research Institutes (SRI), other subordinate organizations of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, experts in the field of health, economics , clinicians, pharmacologists, teaching staff.

The first webinar in lecture format will take place this Wednesday, September 23 at 4 pm on the Zoom platform.

Marina Konstantinovna Faleeva, Director of the Department for Analysis and Forecasting of the Social Health Insurance Fund, will tell you how the compulsory health insurance system works today, who is entitled to benefits when paying contributions, why it is important to determine the status of insurance, which medical services and in which package are provided for the population free of charge.
