3.4 million tons of cargo handled through the seaports of Kazakhstan since the beginning of the year
For 7 months of this year, more than 3.4 million tons of cargo were handled through the seaports of Kazakhstan, which is at the level of the same period last year.
At the same time, there is an increase of 100% in the volume of transshipment of freight vehicles. If in the last year for the specified period this indicator was 3 766 units, then in the current year –7540 units.
There is also a positive trend in the handling of containers, the figures increased by 16% and amounted to 17,079 units.
During the reporting period, the domestic merchant fleet transported 1.32 million tons of cargo between ports on the Caspian Sea, including 7,910 units. containers on the Aktau – Baku feeder line.
At the end of the first half of the year, the volume of traffic by inland waterways amounted to 845.1 thousand tons and increased by 65.8% compared to the level of 2019, including 138.0 thousand tons in the direction of Russia.
As part of the overhaul of the locks, the reinforced concrete structures with an area of 6 610 m2 were repaired
