May 16, 2022
The issues of tourism, ST KZ certificate, support for domestic entrepreneurs were announced during the meeting of the Chairman of the Presidium of the NCE RK “Atameken” Raimbek Batalov with the business community and members of the Regional Council of the Almaty region.
The head of the National Chamber in his welcoming speech noted that the region has a high development potential in the field of agriculture and tourism. He spoke about new approaches within the framework of the transformation of Atameken’s activities and the development of entrepreneurship in the country. According to him, in order to develop a unified policy, it is necessary to strengthen the interaction between business and the state.
“I think that Atameken and the state should have the same conceptual apparatus, common approaches to the development of industries. Therefore, a state planning system is needed based on the same and mandatory key indicators, balanced between sectors of the economy,” Raimbek Batalov emphasized.
Entrepreneurs of the tourism industry drew attention to the importance of interaction and coordination in the development of tourism in the Almaty region and the city of Almaty. Zhenis Tuyakov, Deputy Akim of the Almaty region, spoke about the agreements concluded between the two regions on the development of tourism and the main areas of joint activities.
During the discussion of problematic issues, it was about issuing a ST KZ certificate.
“Today, entrepreneurs receive numerous certificates for their products, which are quite expensive and, ultimately, affect the cost of goods. Therefore, it is necessary to revise the rules for issuing certificates, expanding the possibilities for their use, as well as making them more accessible to businesses. This is a systemic problem that concerns all manufacturers,” Azhar Suleymanova, a representative of QAZAQ-PAK LLP, said.
Businessmen also voiced the problems of building and maintaining irrigation networks, supporting domestic producers, and also appealed to the leadership of the NCE and the regional akimat to take control of the implementation of state measures to support SMEs and, due to the economic situation, consider extending the moratorium on SME inspections for another three years.
All systemic issues and proposals, on behalf of the Chairman of the Presidium, were taken for study by the central and regional offices of the National Chamber for discussion and resolution with central and local government agencies.
In addition, entrepreneurs were interested in the issue of dividing the Almaty region and the relevance of opening chambers of entrepreneurs in Zhetysu and Almaty regions.
“The issue of creating new regional branches in the newly formed regions is the exclusive competence of the Congress. In this connection, the issue will be discussed and resolved during the NPP Congress. Until then, the regional chambers will work in the existing format,” said Maksat Kikimov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the NCE RK Atameken.
Summing up the meeting, Rimma Salykova, Chairman of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Almaty Region, thanked Raimbek Batalov and entrepreneurs for the constructive dialogue and noted that a similar meeting with the business community is planned in the Taldykorgan region to identify systemic issues and proposals.
