President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the National Bank Timur Suleimenov

The head of state heard a report on the results of the National Bank’s implementation of monetary policy for January-October 2023.
The President was informed about the situation in the economy of Kazakhstan, measures to reduce inflation, as well as the state of gold and foreign exchange reserves, assets of the UAPF and the National Fund.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was reported on the progress of preparatory work for the launch of the digital tenge and plans for the development of digital financial infrastructure.
In addition, Timur Suleimenov presented information on the progress of the National Bank’s implementation of the instructions of the Head of State voiced in the Address to the People of Kazakhstan to develop measures to stimulate lending to the economy.
The Chairman of the National Bank also spoke about preparations for the celebration of a landmark date – the 30th anniversary of the national currency tenge.
Following the meeting, the President set a number of tasks aimed at the effective implementation of monetary policy.
