President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan adopted a Joint Statement

In the joint statement, the Head of State congratulated the King on the 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne, which was celebrated last year. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the wise leadership of His Majesty, which made it possible to implement large-scale reforms in the political, socio-economic, administrative and other spheres. In turn, King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein expressed support for the international initiatives of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the reforms carried out in Kazakhstan aimed at modernizing the economy, improving the public administration system, ensuring the rule of law and social justice.

      The heads of state confirmed the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations based on common values ​​and interests, expressed their mutual desire to continue to maintain a comprehensive dialogue at all levels. The statement emphasized the need to deepen mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation in areas such as energy, agriculture, infrastructure, information technology, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.

      Agreements were reached to explore new opportunities to strengthen trade and economic ties and create favorable conditions for the implementation of joint projects in various sectors. The parties confirmed their readiness to expand cooperation in the nuclear industry. The importance of developing transport and logistics routes, including within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, was noted, which contribute to strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries.    A mutual desire was expressed to study the prospects for implementing various projects in these areas and consider the possibility of opening direct flights between the two countries to develop the tourism industry and intensify business contacts.

    President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein agreed to expand cooperation in the field of education, including the exchange of students and teachers, the development of joint educational programs and scientific research. They also confirmed their intention to deepen cultural ties by organizing joint events, including exhibitions and cultural days, which help strengthen the bonds of friendship between peoples.

    The parties expressed their readiness to hold joint cultural and business events in 2025 in honor of the 20th anniversary of the sister city of Astana and Amman, including festivals, exhibitions and exchange of experience in the field of sustainable development and technology. The heads of state noted with satisfaction the fruitful nature of the talks that took place, which will give new impetus to bilateral relations and will contribute to their reaching a qualitatively new level.

    President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein instructed the governments of the two countries to regularly hold meetings of the Kazakh-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation and to intensify the activities of the Business Council to identify promising areas of trade, economic and investment cooperation.

         The parties also exchanged views on international and regional issues, including the situation in the Middle East.
