PCR testing of tourists will be included in the price of tour operators’ packages
In Kazakhstan, a decision was made to include the cost of compulsory PCR testing of tourists returning from abroad in the cost of a package of tour operators, at the expense of citizens having a rest.
This decision was made following a discussion with travel operators, NPP Atameken, the Interdepartmental Commission to Prevent the Emergence and Spread of Coronavirus Infection in Kazakhstan.
To date, 80% of those arriving without a certificate of PCR testing for coronavirus infection of the total number of citizens arriving from abroad are tourists returning from Egypt, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. Including, 41% of tourists arrived from Egypt without certificates, from the Maldives – 27%, the UAE – 16%, and from Turkey – 8.3%.
So, 80% of cases of coronavirus infection were detected among arrivals of holidaymakers from tourist countries, including: from Egypt – 96 people, Turkey – 50, UAE – 51.
