Meeting with Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev
During the meeting, the Head of the State has been presented a report on the activities of the Government on 7 months of this year.
Nursultan Nazarbayev has noted the positive dynamics of the country’s economic development indicators and stressed the importance of further implementation of state and sector programs.
– Within the framework of my assignment, you have traveled through several regions of the country. In general, the situation is stable. Harvesting operations are ahead. It is necessary to hold them at the proper level, the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Kazakh leader was informed about the course of economic development following the results of 7 months and the interim results of the programs’ implementation.
– The economy has grown by 4.2%. The production indicators exceeded the 100% mark in all regions of the country, except for Kyzylorda and Mangistau, where the level of oil production has decreased. Currently, we are working with these regions on the use of new reserve sources.
As for attracting investments in fixed assets there has been an increase of 3.7% compared with the same period of the last year.
There are positive indicators in all regions. The inflation rate increased by 0.1% compared to this June. It is worth noting a decline in food prices by 0.5%. The unemployment rate is 4.9%, B.Sagintayev reported.
The Prime Minister also presented information on the implementation of the industrialization program, within which 31 projects were launched in the first quarter of this year. According to B.Sagintayev, in the second quarter it is planned to complete 100 more projects with creation of 10 000 workplaces.
– The main economic growth is connected with the Nurly Zhol program implementation. This year, 356 billion tenge is envisaged for the road construction. This year 600 km of roads have already started functioning. Later in the year, 469 km will be paid for. The first project, where such a system is functioning, Astana-Borovoye route, brings up to 1.5 bln tenge per year, thereby paying off the funds for its construction. Now Astana-Temirtau route is being prepared for that system’s implementation, the Prime Minister said.
In addition, B. Sagintayev said about the Nurly Zher Program outcome, within which this year it is planned to build 10.2 million square meters of housing. According to the Prime Minister, construction of 5.5 million square meters has been completed in the first half of the year.
Also, the President of Kazakhstan presented has heard the report on implementation of programs in agriculture and information on lending.
In conclusion, Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed to continue fulfilling the tasks set for the Government and akims, laying emphasis on positive dynamics maintaining and development of allocated funds.
– I think that the Government is working hard. I address everyone, before the year is out; we have to work hard to finish the year in an orderly way. There is a substantial risk. There are price fluctuations for our energy carriers and raw materials. It might be the influence of sanctions against Russia. That fact must be taken into account, the Head of State said.
