More than 64 thousand people received payments from the State Social Insurance Fund in connection with the loss of their jobs

As of June 1, 2021, the number of recipients of social payments in case of job loss from the State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to as the SSSF) amounted to 64.4 thousand people, while 39.9 thousand citizens received payments for the first time this year. In accordance with the current legislation, laid-off workers receive social benefits for loss of work from 1 to 6 months, depending on the length of service in the compulsory social insurance system and income for the last 24 months. The payment is made at the expense of the State Social Insurance Fund in the amount of up to 40% of the lost income. To assign a payment to a dismissed employee, you must: – log in to the eGov.kz portal; – in the section “Employment and employment” select the service “Registration of job seekers”; – order the service online by filling in all the fields and send an application by signing it with an EDS; – within one day, the employment center (hereinafter – CZN) at the applicant’s place of residence will offer vacancies; – if no job is found, the status of unemployed will be assigned remotely within 3 working days (if necessary, an employee of the Center of Employment Service will contact the applicant to collect additional information). If there is information about registration as an unemployed, the information system of the MLSPP will send an SMS message to the mobile phone to agree to provide the service for the purpose of payment from the SSIF in a proactive format. If you agree, you must respond to the SMS message. The payout will be assigned automatically.

Recall that social benefits in case of job loss at the expense of the State Social Insurance Fund are carried out regardless of the reasons for dismissal and is intended to support an unemployed person during the period when he is looking for a job. As previously reported, in order to simplify the registration procedures for the unemployed and facilitate the receipt of state services to support employment, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan launched a functionality for the remote provision of services by employment centers through the Electronic Labor Exchange (hereinafter – EST). In the “personal account” on the EST, Kazakhstanis can register as a person looking for a job or unemployed and track all stages of registration. After receiving the status of unemployed, citizens (participants in the social insurance system) can also send an application for social benefits for loss of work online on the EST and independently choose vacancies for jobs subsidized by the state – youth practice, social jobs, public works. To receive the above services online, you must register on EST using an electronic digital signature.
