More than 600 medical organizations across the country have resumed planned hospitalization
A list of medical organizations has appeared on the website of the Social Health Insurance Fund, indicating the date of the resumption of planned hospitalization by region. The list will be constantly updated.
The provision of routine medical care has been resumed in Kazakhstan since August 1, 2020. First of all, hospitalization began to be carried out by specialized clinics of the republican level, multidisciplinary hospitals at the regional, city and district levels with a phased connection of the remaining hospitals that are not involved in measures to combat COVID-19.
Based on the results of the monitoring carried out on August 10, 2020, 626 medical organizations – suppliers of the Medical Insurance Fund in the country provide services of planned medical care, including therapeutic, cardiological, gastroenterological, allergological, surgical, neurological, pulmonological, intensive care, obstetric-gynecological, neurosurgical, traumatological profiles, thoracic surgery, rehabilitation treatment, and medical rehabilitation.
Most of the medical organizations resumed their work in Almaty (67), East Kazakhstan (54), Almaty (50) regions. It should be noted that there are a significant number of private clinics among the 626 medical organizations. A complete list of providers of routine medical care services can be found on the Foundation’s website. The list will be constantly updated.
“Medical organizations that are not involved in measures to counter coronavirus were able to resume their work. Each region has drawn up its own plan for launching planned medical care, which will vary depending on the epidemiological situation. It is evaluated by the regional headquarters, ”the FSMS press service notes.
As you know, due to quarantine restrictions, the provision of many medical services was routinely suspended. And now, with their resumption, a significant increase in the consumption of planned medical care is expected. After the necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures have been taken, medical organizations are given permission to open hospitals.
“Considering the projected growth in the consumption of medical services, already in the third quarter it is possible to fulfill the volumes planned for the current year. For example, in the first quarter, planned hospitalization increased by 80% compared to the same period last year. Specialized medical care in round-the-clock hospitals increased by 15%, medical rehabilitation – by 35%. The Fund, for its part, is making adjustments to the financing plan, ”the FSMS adds.
