More than 2.3 million Kazakhstanis received a one-time payment for loss of income during the quarantine period
As of 09.00 a.m. on August 13, 2 million 541 thousand unique applications were received from citizens for the appointment of a lump sum payment from the State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter – the SSIF) in case of loss of income due to the introduction of restrictive measures in July of the current year, the amount of payment equal to the minimum wage – 42,500 tenge. The payment was received by 2 million 320.9 thousand Kazakhstanis, of which 2 million 304.2 thousand people received an additional payment in the amount of 0.5 minimum wage – 21 250 thousand tenge in connection with the extension of quarantine in August. Work in this direction continues.

Applications for payments from the SSIF are accepted through several channels. Out of 2 million 541 thousand applications:
– 834.9 thousand people agreed to assign payments in a proactive format;
– 656.1 thousand people applied through the Egov.kz portal and telegram bots;
– 394 thousand people – through the portal 42500.enbek.kz;
– 656.2 thousand people – through mobile applications and Internet resources of second-tier banks;
– 0.2 thousand people – through the headquarters.
In the context of categories of citizens:
– 834.9 thousand applications were submitted from payers of a single aggregate payment (in a proactive format);
– 243.5 thousand applications were submitted by employers for employees;
– 1 million 463.1 thousand applications were received from other categories of citizens (individual entrepreneurs; persons engaged in private practice; individuals receiving income under civil contracts).
The payment was assigned to 2 million 329.1 thousand people. Funds were transferred to 2 million 320.9 thousand Kazakhstanis.
As previously reported, in connection with the extension of quarantine on the territory of Kazakhstan for 2 weeks, recipients of a one-time payment from the State Social Insurance Fund are additionally paid an additional payment of 0.5 minimum wages – 21,250 tenge.
Kazakhstanis who received a one-time payment from the SSIF in July 2020 are automatically assigned a surcharge due to the extension of quarantine. There is no need to reapply.
Citizens who first applied for the appointment of a lump sum after the extension of quarantine, the payment is assigned in the amount of 1.5 minimum wages or 63,750 tenge (42,500 + 21,250 tenge).
Acceptance of applications will continue until September 1, 2020.
