The international Eurasia Film Festival started in Almaty.
On September 24, 2016 the opening of the 12 – th International Eurasia Film Festival started.
As one would expect guests of the festival passed on the red carpet stretched from the central entrance from Dostyk St. to Luganskogo St. The solemn musical atmosphere to a holiday was created by DJs, photozones for participants and guests of film festival, and also members of the mass media.
The opening ceremony of a film festival took place in the Palace of the Republic where there were more than 2500 thousand guests and the audience.
The international jury of the Eurasia Film festival is presented by Reza Mirkarimi,
Iran, Ning Ying, China, Aktan Arym Kubat, Kyrgyzstan, Doskhan Zholzhaksynov, Kazakhstan, Grimur Hakonarson, Ireland,
Chairman Valery Todorovsky, Russia and President of the International Film Festival Eurasia Ayman Musakhadzhayevoy.
2016 is a sign for Kazakhstan. This year we elebrate the 25 years of independence of Kazakhstan, the 1000 anniversary of the city of Almaty and the most important the 75 years of CIFS (The central integrated film studio).
In 1941, the Lenfilm and Mosfilm have been evacuated to Kazakhstan. Here Sergey Ezeynstein worked. In Kazakhstan he has shot the film “Ivan the Terrible”.
The legendary documentary film maker Dziga Vertov has shot films “To You, Front!” and “In Mountains Ala Tau”, in CIFS Vsevolod Pudovkin, Babochkin’s brothers worked, played stars of the Soviet cinema, actresses Lyudmila Tselikovskaya and Serafima Birman, began the career the operator and director Iskander Tynyshpayev, the documentary film maker Oraz Abishev here. During war hundreds, thousands of people were flown down to Kazakhstan .
Thanks to dialogue of cultures and religions, love and mutual understanding Kazakhstan became the unique territory on which there is a peaceful dialogue of east and western cultures.
This dialogue continues and now, bright evidence of which is the 12th international Eurasia Film Festival.
The Honorary Chairman of jury of a festival and the rector of Academy of arts of Zhurgenev Ayman Musokhodzhayeva has noted that opening of Academy of cinema arts and sciences of RK and National award Tulpar which president is Asanali Ashimov is the beginning of a new stage in development of a kinomatografy in Kazakhstan.
Asanali Ashimov, deserved figure of theater and cinema of RK has congratulated attendees on opening of the filnfestival and has handed the first national award Tulpar to the famous poet Olzhas Suleymenov who became its first winner.
For the presentation of the legendary movie “The train to Busan” which premiere was held at the Cannes Film Festival this spring , the consul concerning culture Mr. Kim Hyon Min has been invited (Consulate of Korea in Almaty) and the address of the director of the movie to the audience was shown.
At a festival more than 80 movies of various genres and an orientation, from film studios of the USA, Europe and Asia, art to documentary and short films of production, and others will be presented.
The festival will take place till September 30 and democratic, not traditional film platforms, such as cafe, parks, shopping centers are chosen as the platform of display of movies and as the main cinemaplatform is chosen Esentay Trade Center.
