Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea will continue to develop a strategic partnership

As part of the participation in the 13th meeting of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Foreign Ministers Cooperation Forum, Kazakh Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi held talks with Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung Hwa.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects for further development of the bilateral strategic partnership. It was noted that, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, a regular political dialogue is maintained at the highest level, as well as high dynamics of interaction in the context of overcoming the consequences of the spread of coronavirus as soon as possible.
The parties discussed the substantive aspects of the upcoming state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to the Republic of Korea in 2021.
Within the framework of the working trip of the Minister to Seoul, the Kazakh Foreign Minister also met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Jong Se Kyun and the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byung Suk.
The Minister noted the importance of developing bilateral political dialogue, inter-parliamentary ties and expressed hope for further strengthening trade and economic cooperation with the Republic of Korea.
