Kazakhstan and Serbia intend to strengthen bilateral relations

Belgrade, November 9, 2021

Madi Atamkulov,  Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Serbia  met with Nikola Selakovic, a Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

The parties discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation, noting the friendly nature of relations between the two countries and the mutual intention to intensify mutual contacts, timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Serbia.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude to the Serbian side for their readiness to support the “Green Bridge” initiative of  Nursultan Nazarbayev, Elbasy and the First President of Kazakhstan –   and to join the Charter of the corresponding partnership program. N. Selakovich, a Minister, in turn, congratulated M. Atamkulov on the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan and thanked for the continued support of Serbia on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of enhancing bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, holding the next meeting of the IGC, expanding the regulatory framework and developing interregional ties.
