The inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was held

The official inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, took place at the Palace of Independence.
After bringing in the State Flag, the Standard of the President and the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the elected President of the Republic of Kazakhstan entered the Great Hall of the Palace of Independence.
In accordance with Article 42 of the Constitution, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev took an oath: “I solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of Kazakhstan, strictly follow the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guarantee the rights and freedoms of citizens, conscientiously fulfill the high duties of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan entrusted to me!”
In honor of the inauguration of the elected President, the National Anthem was performed, 21 artillery salvos were fired, and the State Flag was raised over the Akorda residence.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov presented Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev with a certificate of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In his inaugural speech, the Head of State thanked all Kazakhstanis for the high confidence given to him.
– The trust of the people is the highest value that cannot be compared with anything. I regard the results of the elections as support for my political platform and a mandate of trust for the implementation of plans for the coming period. Leading a country with popular support is a high honor and a colossal responsibility. I regard this as a unique opportunity in the next seven years to fulfill my duty to present for future generations. The Kazakhs have a noble concept “amanat” – a covenant. The trust of the people is the amanat entrusted to me. And to fulfill it is my sacred duty. I will make every effort to justify the trust of the people and turn Kazakhstan into a prosperous and prosperous state,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President named a number of key areas of his future activities. As the Head of State stated, building a fair market economy, protecting private property, developing competition, eradicating corruption is impossible without ensuring the genuine rule of law. In its development, our country will mainly rely on its own forces, but at the same time actively develop international cooperation in various fields, including attracting foreign direct investment.
According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan will continue to implement a balanced, constructive foreign policy aimed at protecting our national interests. The process of political modernization will continue.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Government, judges of the Supreme Court, members of the Constitutional Council, representatives of the Presidential Administration and the Office of the Prime Minister, heads of central government bodies, members of the Central Election Commission, members of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan, representatives of religious denominations, akims of regions, cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Kazakhstan, presidential candidates, leaders of political parties, members of the republican and regional public headquarters, representatives of public organizations, the media, business circles, prominent figures of science, culture and art, leaders of youth organizations.
