A BRANCH OF THE RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY OF OIL AND GAS NAMED AFTER I.M. GUBKINA

The research university will carry out educational activities on the basis of the Atyrau University of Oil and Gas named after S. Utebaev. Vice- Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kuanysh Yergaliyev,” the Press Service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
“As part of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a branch of the Russian University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin. The opening of a branch of Gubkin University on the basis of AUNIG will ensure the transfer of educational programs, will contribute to the implementation of joint scientific projects, the exchange of information and experience between the two oil and gas universities. In addition, this will enable Kazakhstani youth to receive a diploma from a leading Russian university without leaving the country,” said Kuanysh Yergaliev.
The branch of Gubkin University in Atyrau has begun an admission campaign for enrolling students in undergraduate programs for the training programs “Construction and operation of gas and oil pipelines and gas and oil storage facilities”, “Oil and gas technologies”, “Geological modeling of natural oil and gas reservoirs”. 200 grants have been allocated for this. Professors and teachers from Russia will be involved in the educational process.
