“Kazakhfilm” presented a documentary
picture about Zhumate Shanin

Yesterday in Almaty, within the Days of Kazakhstan documentary film held by the Kazakhfilm studio together with the First President-Elbasy Foundation, the premiere screening of the documentary film “Kazakh Renaissance. Zhumat Shanin “, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan directed by Alexei Kamensky under the script of Bakhyt Kairbekov and Ainur Mazibayeva.
A documentary film produced by Kazakhfil JSC Sh. Aymanov is dedicated to the history of the Kazakh national theater and the fate of Zhumata Shanina, one of the founders of this art form in Kazakhstan.
– The film tells about the history of the formation of the Kazakh national theater in the period from 1926 to 1938. The picture, in addition to the documentary frames, contains elements of staged gaming shootings. We reconstructed the most important events of that era, including the First decade of Kazakh art in Moscow in 1936, and told about the tragic fate of a considerable part of the creative intelligentsia of that time, “director Alexei Kamensky said at the premiere.
“We are grateful to the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan for supporting our documentary projects,” Kazakhfilm “has already shot a whole series of films about the fate of outstanding figures of Kazakh art”, he said.
