During the meeting between Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the head of one of the world’s largest engineering companies, Xiang Wenbo, issues of implementing joint projects in the field of green energy were discussed. The corporation is participating in the implementation of a project to build a wind power plant with a capacity of 1 GW and is considering the possibility of constructing a plant for assembling towers, blades and nacelles for wind farms.
The President noted that Kazakhstan is interested in further deepening cooperation with Sany Group Co. Ltd. In particular, it seems promising to establish joint production in our country of special equipment, as well as related components.
The Chinese company was asked to explore the possibility of opening a regional R&D center in Kazakhstan, which would serve its activities in the EAEU market.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of State invited Xiang Wenbo to take part in the Astana International Forum, which will be held this year in Kazakhstan.
