Welcoming Irakli Garibashvili, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev noted the progressive development of bilateral cooperation, as well as the importance of joining joint efforts.
I hope that your visit will be successful. As I know, the program of the visit is very busy, a number of meetings are planned, which will give an additional impetus to the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Georgia. We are bound by close ties of friendship and multifaceted cooperation. Our task is to strengthen and further develop our friendly relations, the President emphasized.
During the meeting, topical issues of trade, economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Georgia were discussed.
The interlocutors paid special attention to transport and logistics interaction. Kazakhstan proposes to consider our market as a gateway to Central Asia, which has direct access to neighboring China. The countries are partners in the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, which plays an important role in strengthening ties between the countries of the region.
In turn, Irakli Garibashvili expressed his gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the opportunity to meet and reaffirmed his country’s interest in strengthening contacts.
