John Thomson – President of Toyota Motor Kazakhstan
Mr. John Thomson has been serving as President of Toyota Motor Kazakhstan since February 2022.
Kazakhstan is considered as one of the links in the supply of cars from Japan not only to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, but also to Europe, and a new president with European experience began to successfully implement plans to significantly reduce the costs and time for the delivery of new cars.
Mr. John Thomson has worked in various company structures in the EU, Japan and Russia since 2002. At the same time, in all structures, he held exclusively managerial positions.
The new president moved to Toyota in Kazakhstan from the position of head of commercial operations for Lexus at Toyota Motor Europe.
Among the most significant positions of Mr. Thomson are the following:
General Manager, UK Sales and Networking for the Lexus brand;
Head of the marketing department;
Head of Global Communications Group, Lexus International;
Head of Business Planning Department;
Director of brand development in the UK, Belgium, Japan and Russia.
