INTERDEPARTMENTAL COMMISSION CONSIDERED AMENDMENTS ON SUPPLEMENTS TO SCIENTISTS
Today, at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on legislative activities, amendments to a number of laws were presented, including questions on additional payments for researchers.
On April 12, at a meeting of the National Council for Science and Technology under the President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the need to improve the status of scientists, including in the form of financial support.
“We need to consistently raise the status of our scientists and strengthen their social security. To this end, it is necessary to increase by 1.5 times the additional payment for academic degrees and titles of employees of universities and scientific organizations,” the President noted.
What additional payments are planned for academic degrees and academic titles to employees of universities and scientific organizations:
• for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Doctor in the field in the amount of 17 times the MСI;
• for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and the academic title of Associate Professor, Doctor of Specialization and Academic Title of Associate Professor in the amount of 25 times the MСI;
• for the academic degree of candidate of sciences in the amount of 17 times the MCI, doctor of sciences in the amount of 34 times the MCI;
• for the degree of Candidate of Science and the academic title of Associate Professor in the amount of 25 times the MCI, Doctor of Science and the academic title of Associate Professor in the amount of 42 times the MCI;
•for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Doctor in profile and the academic title of Professor, for the academic degree of Candidate of Sciences and the academic title of Professor, for the Doctor of Science with the academic title of Professor in the amount of 50 times the MCI.
