In the portfolio of Almaty region, there are 51 PPP projects for a total amount of about 84 billion tenge
The portfolio of the Almaty region includes 51 public-private partnership projects for a total amount of about 84 billion tenge. Of these, 30 public-private partnership agreements have been concluded in the region for a total of 54 billion tenge, where the volume of attracted investments is 27 billion tenge, – the press service of the akim of the Almaty region reports.
As reported in the regional department of economy and budget planning, 22 objects in various sectors of the economy have already been commissioned within the framework of PPP, only 15 of them are in the field of education.
If we talk about specific examples, then of particular importance is the creation of a medical laboratory for the provision of services to the population on modern high-tech equipment in the Kasay region, a rehabilitation center for 60 places and a day center for disabled children, created in the Talgar region, aimed at conducting health, social -rehabilitation and pedagogical activities.
Another important project implemented in order to digitalize healthcare is the implementation of a complex of information systems in medical institutions in the region. Within the framework of this project, a situational data processing center with industrial high-performance servers was created on the basis of the Taldykorgan city multidisciplinary hospital, where all performed X-ray examinations of 13 medical institutions in the region are collected and archived daily. This project solves 4 main tasks at once. This is, first of all, early diagnosis, and secondly, solving the problem of a shortage of personnel of radiologists, digitalization of healthcare, as well as the use of advanced scientific achievements using artificial intelligence. As a result, if the human eye usually sees neoplasms of 5 mm or more, then artificial intelligence helps the doctor identify neoplasms starting from 1 mm. As a result, in the diagnosis of oncological diseases, the detection rate at an early stage of lung cancer and breast cancer increased from 13 to 60%, which is of great importance for increasing the life expectancy of the population due to early diagnosis.
The mechanisms of public-private partnerships have also brought considerable benefit to the development of the region’s sports infrastructure. In total, during the period of PPP creation in the region in the field of sports, 5 projects were implemented for a total amount of almost 22 million tenge. The physical culture, recreation and sports complexes built in different parts of the region made it possible to increase the availability of sports infrastructure facilities for the population of various age and social groups, including in rural areas, and also contributed to an increase in the number of residents involved in sports and involved in a healthy lifestyle.
The largest of them is the construction project in the regional center of an Olympic-type indoor swimming pool with a total area of 27 thousand square meters, worth more than 13 billion tenge. The facility will be designed for training sessions in swimming, water aerobics, water polo and diving. In addition, conditions will be created for swimming for people with disabilities.
If we talk about plans for the current year, now in the Almaty region, design and estimate documentation and business plans are being developed for the implementation of 21 projects for a total amount of more than 30 billion 6 each – in health care and energy in the amount of 16.6 billion tenge, 2 – sports in the amount of 2.4 billion tenge and 1 each – culture, tourism, security in the amount of almost 10 billion tenge.
