In Taldykorgan, an adult department was opened on the basis of a center for the provision of special social services
In Taldykorgan, on the basis of the center for the provision of special social services “Kamkor”, a department with 50 beds for persons over 18 years of age was opened. This was done at the request of parents whose children are pupils of the Kamkor center, who turned to the regional akim Beibit Isabaev last year to assist in solving the problem, reports the press service of the Zhetysu region akim.
In order to create the necessary conditions, work was carried out to improve the territory, for which 12.8 million tenge was allocated. Gazebos, a walking area, a stage and a workout area have been installed so that adults can spend their leisure time pleasantly. A separate elevator has been installed. In addition, in the second quarter of this year it is planned to build a bathhouse worth almost 16 million tenge. The adult population of the center is separated from the children’s population, the necessary safety rules are fully observed. Also, 29 million tenge were allocated for the purchase of transport for the smooth transportation of the center’s pupils.
Parents and close relatives of the center’s pupils were able to get acquainted with the created conditions in person by visiting the renovated center today.
Mothers of the center’s service recipients Dinara Besbaeva and Kenzhegul Kastarbekova shared their opinions:
We were worried about where our daughters would go when they came of age. After all, they are already 16 and 18 years old. Yes, there is a similar center for adults in Taldykorgan, but it will be a stressful situation for them. New faces, new surroundings, but here everything is already familiar and familiar. A truly cozy, even homely atmosphere has been created here. We decided to appeal to the regional akim with a request to open a center for adult pupils in the same building. And after a very short time we were informed that our issue had been resolved positively. At first we didn’t believe it, but now we are sincerely glad. For which, on behalf of all parents, we express our heartfelt gratitude,” they shared.
By the way, the center for the provision of special social services “Kamkor” with a hospital is designed to provide special social services to persons with psychoneurological pathologies from 3 to 18 years old. Since January of this year, an adult department began functioning at the center. According to the regional department for coordination of employment and social programs, today 104 service recipients receive services at the center. On the territory of the center there are playgrounds, sports grounds, volleyball courts and a greenhouse. There are sensory, physiotherapeutic, defectological, dental, vaccination, treatment, speech therapy rooms, as well as psychologist, physical therapy, vocational training rooms, and there is an assembly hall. There is a salt mine, a relaxation room, and music and occupational therapy. The staff number is 167 people.
It should be noted that in total in the Zhetysu region there are 13 institutions for receiving special social services, of which 6 are stationary, 7 are semi-stationary.
