In the archaeological park “Boraldy Saki Barrows” the II International Ethnocultural Festival “Uly dala rukhy” – “Spirit of the Great Steppe” was held, in which representatives of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Slovakia, USA, Turkey took part.

Guests of the festival were able to admire the skills of professional Berkutchi, horsemen and kokpar man, archers and batyrs, play national games, try national dishes. “Uly dala rukhy” gave an opportunity to everyone who wanted to get acquainted with the rich heritage of Kazakhs and other Turkic peoples.

Within two days visitors of the festival had an opportunity to see from inside the life of nomads and the arrangement of their life, to get acquainted with the historically recreated traditions and rituals associated with all spheres of Kazakh life, learn the secrets of the craftsmanship of ancient artisans and try to work with felt, leather, silver, clay preserved since ancient times.
