How the Enbek state program helps to start a business residents of Almaty region

The program for the development of productive employment and mass entrepreneurship for 2017-2021 “Enbek” opens up opportunities for starting your own business. Its opportunities are actively used by residents of the Almaty region. Within the framework of the second direction, this year the region has been allocated about 3.4 billion tenge. Among the start-up entrepreneurs who received microcredits and won grants under the program, and the residents of the city of Kapshagay. According to the akimat of of Kapshagay, today 30 people have received state grants and 3 – microcredits. Of these, 5 grants are for low-income families and large families, 11 grants for young people under 29 years old, 2 grants for persons with disabilities, 12 grants for other categories of citizens.

A young mother, 25-year-old Gulnur Zadash, is also among the start-up entrepreneurs. With an aptitude for the pastry craft, she took special training courses and got down to business, having won a grant of 200 monthly calculated indices under the Enbek program. With these funds, the young pastry chef purchased the necessary equipment, including a modern food processor. – I have a small child in my arms. Therefore, for now it is convenient for me to work from home. Thanks to government support, she started her own small business of making homemade confectionery products. Within the framework of the “Bastau Business” program, she underwent appropriate training in the basics of doing business, accounting and other things. There are a lot of pastry chefs now, and there is a lot of competition. Therefore, you need to constantly learn and develop your skills, – says G. Zadash. A young mother delivers cakes, rolls and her other confectionery products to the Kapshagay store “Seven”, and also accepts orders at home.

Another resident of Kapshagai, Madina Kulzhabayeva, also started her business thanks to the Enbek program, having studied at the Bastau Business courses and received a corresponding certificate. She defended her project “Organization of a salon for the provision of digital services to the population” and won a grant in the amount of 555 600 tenge. With the funds received, she bought a laptop, a printer, a table, chairs and other necessary equipment. Now her small center provides services to the population of Kapshagai. – Now is the time for digitalization. Therefore, according to the requirements of the time, I decided to work in this direction and open a center for the provision of digital services. Local residents turn to me, and my business will gradually grow and develop, – shares M. Kulzhabayev’s plans.

By the way, in the second direction of the “Enbek” program for the implementation of tasks on expanding microcrediting, guaranteeing loans / microcredits in the Almaty region for 2021, KZT 3,319.2 million was allocated, of which KZT 239.2 million for microcrediting in cities and single-industry towns , 3080.0 million tenge for microcrediting in villages. Last year, within the framework of the program, 1104 microcredits were provided in the amount of 4791.3 million tenge, 1525 jobs were created. Note that as of April 1, 2021, 123,290 small and medium-sized businesses operate in the Almaty region, which is 1.6% higher than the level of 2020. The small and medium-sized business sector employs 263.6 thousand people.
