Haymaking is being actively carried out in the Almaty region
In the Almaty region, work is being actively carried out on hay-making, in the districts 295 hay-mowing brigades with a number of involved people of 1,670 people have been mobilized. 1576 mowers and 1401 balers are involved, – the press service of the akim of the Almaty region reports.
According to the information of the regional department of agriculture, on the territory of the state forest fund of the region, farms and the population use 15.2 thousand hectares for haymaking, 899.9 thousand hectares for pastures.
In specially protected natural areas, 164 hectares of hayfields have been allocated and 59 thousand hectares are used for pasture. Currently, 1,810 thousand tons of hay, or 64.2% of the plan, have been procured, 285.4 thousand tons of haylage, 124.9 thousand tons of straw, 55.7 thousand tons of grain forage. The average yield of natural hayfields for hay is 15-25 c / ha, alfalfa and perennial grasses 35-40 c / ha. “An inventory of carry-over stocks of feed has been carried out, there are 30.2 thousand tons of feed last year in Aksu, Alakol, Eskeldinsky, Zhambyl, Uygur regions,” said Koyumchan Omarov, deputy head of the regional agriculture department.
At the same time, 13.8 thousand tons of diesel fuel have been allocated for harvesting and hay harvesting operations in the region, including 1.8 thousand tons for haymaking. In addition, an application has been submitted to the relevant department for the allocation of an additional volume of fuels and lubricants for haymaking.
