The film has a brilliant festival history. “Boy Atbaya” took part in the main competition of the International Film Festival in Warsaw, won the Grand Prix at the IFF in Yakutia. The leading male actor Daniyar Alshinov was recognized as the best actor at the New York Film Awards for his work on the image of Atbay. The organizers of the Maverick Movie Awards gave the film two awards at once: “Best Film” and “Best Actor”. The distributor of the film “Boy Atbay” was the company “Art Dealers”. “Adilkhan Yerzhanov is a recognized master of Russian auteur cinematography. In many countries of the world, modern Kazakhstani cinema is associated with his name.
