ⅠⅠ FARABI FORUM STARTED IN THE TREASURY
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is hosting the ⅠⅠ International Farabi Forum “Philosophy of language and the language of philosophy of Abu-Nasr Al-Farabi”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Center.
The International Farabi Forum is a significant event and its main goal is to comprehend the spiritual, historical and philosophical foundations of the prosperity of modern society through the rich heritage of al-Farabi.
The large-scale event was opened by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU named after al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuymebaev.
“Today’s International Forum requires a modern analysis and in-depth study of the al-Farabi phenomenon,” the head of the university emphasized. “We have a big task ahead of us. It is necessary to bring together all the variety of information about Al-Farabi. The works of the great thinker, which have firmly entered the annals of history, we must pass on to the younger generation.”
Speaking at the forum, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Muhsin Fagani, noted that “The main issue that worried Farabi was the connection and integration of religion and philosophy. He believed that there is no contradiction between the Islamic religion and Greek wisdom, and if there is a contradiction, then it is connected with the external manifestations of the problem. Last year, at a bilateral meeting of the leader of the Islamic Revolution and the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the issue of creating a joint scientific committee of the two countries was discussed, where studies of the works of Al-Farabi would be carried out. Today, this idea is being realized.”
The opening ceremony of the forum was also attended by: Rector of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak Muhammad ash-Shahhat al-Jindi, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Almaty – Abror Fatkhullayev.
Representatives of members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of foreign consulates in Kazakhstan, Al-Farabi centers abroad, scientists and diplomats, young scientists from Turkey, the Netherlands, Russia, and Uzbekistan take part in the forum.
The forum will include discussion platforms: “The legacy of Abu Nasr al-Farabi and the development of psychological science in the world”, “The language of education of Al-Farabi: personality in the context of intercultural communication and national life”, etc.
