Equipment of CLAAS and HORSCH brands will be assembled in Kazakhstan

Deputy Chairman of the Industrial Development Committee of the MIID RK Serik Ospanov and General Director of TOO CT Assembly Murat Otarbayev signed a special investment contract for the assembly of CLAAS and HORSCH agricultural machinery in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The signing ceremony was attended by Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amaniyaz Yerzhanov, Regional Director of CLAAS in the EAEU Dr. Nils Reich and General Director of CT AGRO Jörg Foschepot.

According to the agreement, the joint venture  Assembly JCP, established by the CLAAS Concern and its exclusive importer in Kazakhstan,  AGRO JCP, undertakes to gradually establish industrial assembly of CLAAS and HORSCH agricultural machinery at the production site in Petropavlovsk over the course of five years. In particular, we are talking about the production of CLAAS combine harvesters of the TUCANO 580, 450 and 430 model series, CERIO headers and CLAAS XERION 4500 tractors, as well as HORSCH seeding complexes. In the first year of the contract, it is planned to debug the mechanisms of the production site. During this period, it is planned to produce up to 100 units of TUCANO combines. Subsequently, in accordance with the schedule agreed by the parties, various technological operations will be gradually introduced for each type of agricultural machinery.

So, to ensure the assembly of tractors in 2022, commissioning works on the production of XERION tractors are scheduled for September-October of the current year, and a technical check of engines and hydraulic systems will also begin. In subsequent years, both the volume of industrial assembly work carried out in Kazakhstan and the number of agricultural machines produced, in particular, TUCANO grain harvesters and XERION tractors, will increase.

All manufactured equipment undergoes certification to confirm the compliance of products with the requirements of the current technical regulations of the Customs Union and receives a certificate of origin of goods, and an individual passport will be issued for each self-propelled vehicle. To control the fulfillment of obligations, the agreement stipulates the conduct of annual inspections by experts from the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“CLAAS has been present on the Kazakhstani market for about 30 years, and all this time we have been consistently expanding the scale and formats of cooperation with the country’s farmers. The signing of the SIC is an important milestone in this development, and we hope that the new opportunities that are opening up will make the CLAAS brand’s contribution to the successful development of the country’s agro-industrial complex even more significant, ”said Dr. Niels Reich, Regional Director of CLAAS in the EAEU.

“The signing of a special investment contract opens up new prospects for the agrarians of Kazakhstan, since they will receive significant advantages thanks to this agreement, in particular, a number of tax benefits and access to state funding. Thus, as a company striving to provide our customers and partners with modern high-performance equipment, we will be able to shorten the delivery time and increase their volumes, and most importantly, to offer such financial conditions that will make another significant contribution to increasing the profitability of agricultural business in Kazakhstan “, – says Joerg Foshepot, CEO of CT AGRO.
