Speaking to reporters, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the confidential character of the dialogue between the leaders of the two states that has developed over the entire history of relations.
– Together with Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, we continue to strengthen mutual trust and good relations. There are no unresolved problems between our countries, but there is an open road for further development, “the Head of State said.
The President of Kazakhstan elaborated on the implementation of joint industrial and investment projects, pointing out the importance of developing non-primary sectors of the national economy.
– We reached agreements on 51 projects. We are implementing an industrial-innovative program, within the framework of which about 1200 enterprises have been created. Our task is to build a second alternative economy that does not depend on raw materials, “Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
During the briefing it was noted that Kazakhstan is developing economic cooperation with China on the basis of the principle of mutual benefit. Thus, bilateral relations are built on the basis of strategic tasks and priorities for the development of the Kazakh economy, including the implementation of industrial and innovative projects in the chemical industry, mining and metallurgy, engineering, energy, agro-industrial complex and other sectors of the economy. The result of joint projects will be the creation of enterprises for the production of high-tech domestic products with high added value, oriented to export.
In addition, the results of the meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council were noted, during which the businessmen of the two countries signed 40 documents for a total of about 13 billion tenge. The head of state focused on the fact that the main drivers of investment cooperation with the PRC are business circles and business entities involved in the implementation of projects. In this process, project financing mechanisms are actively used, according to which the guarantee is the project itself.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev focused on the implementation of infrastructure projects aimed at increasing the country’s transit and transport potential.
The head of state also noted the interest of the Chinese side in deepening cooperation in the agro-industrial complex.
The President of Kazakhstan spoke in detail about his proposal on the implementation of mutual settlements in national currencies within the framework of the SCO, and also dwelt on the course of the negotiation process with Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
– When there is trust, all issues are resolved. In any case, you need to take into account the interests of your country. Negotiations are never easy, and I carefully prepare for them. This is my responsibility, which is entrusted to me by our people, “said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
